Green-Dickson Municipal Park covers 148 acres at the northwest edge of Shiner. It has children's playgrounds, covered picnic areas with barbecue pits, lighted tennis and volleyball courts, a baseball/softball complex and fishing.
Several RV camping spaces with hookups are available for overnight stays. An enclosed pavilion includes kitchen and dining facilities that are air-conditioned, for gatherings and events.
The park is home to Shiner's annual Half Moon Holidays celebration each 4th of July weekend, with craft and food booths, a BBQ cook-off, live music and the Spoetzl Brewery Fireworks Spectacular.
