Byrd's Farmhouse

Byrd's Farmhouse Chick-Inn Coop is a farm stay outside Shiner, set in the owners' hay pasture. The hosts renovated and restored an old pole barn into a cozy country retreat, decorated in both vintage and modern styles.

The barn has a country kitchen with a farmhouse sink looking out over the barnyard, and a dining area that seats six. Air conditioning, internet, a washer, a refrigerator, a barbecue grill and onsite parking round out the amenities. Friendly farm animals share the property, and chicken lovers are welcome.

Spoetzl Brewery, the Edwin Wolters Memorial Museum and the Shiner public library are each about a 16- to 17-minute drive away.
